I REVIEWED THEM WITH STAFF AND ALSO WITH THE ARCHITECT WHO PREPARED THE CONSTRUCTION PLANS FOR US AND CAREFULLY REVIEWED EACH OF THOSE PROPOSALS. THE LOW END BID WAS FOR ROUGHLY $400,000, BUT THE PROPOSAL REALLY DIDN'T SPELL OUT A LOT OF THE DETAIL THAT THAT WAS NEEDED. AND THAT WAS REFERENCED IN THE CONSTRUCTION PLANS, AND WE REALLY FELT UNCOMFORTABLE BEING ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THAT ONE AS A BEST PRACTICE OR AS A AS A PRACTICE PROJECT. AND SO WE KIND OF ELIMINATED THAT ONE FROM CONTENTION FOR THE OTHER TWO. ONE WAS GONI CONSTRUCTION. THAT'S THE CONTRACTOR WHO DID THE RENOVATION AT DOBELL'S. AND THEN THE OTHER ONE WAS ASTON MIXED USE, WHICH WAS ONE WHO HAD BEEN REFERENCED TO US FROM THE OWNER OF BROCK HOUSE. THEY WERE THE KIND OF HIGHER END ONE. THEIR PROPOSAL WAS MORE DETAILED, BUT IT WAS ALSO THE MOST EXPENSIVE OF THEM, AT 500, 570,000. AND THEN GONI'S WAS AT $495,030. SO IT WAS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE, WHICH WHEN WE BUDGETED FOR THIS AT THE AT THE BUDGET WORKSHOP LAST YEAR, WE HAD BUDGETED ABOUT $500,000 FOR THESE IMPROVEMENTS. SO GONI WAS ACTUALLY ON TARGET WITH IT. AS WE WERE REVIEWING THESE PROPOSALS, DARDAN AND I LOOKED AT IT, THERE WERE A FEW ITEMS THAT WERE JUST NOT REFERENCED. KIND OF THE PROPOSALS WERE SILENT TOO, FOR FOR BOTH FOR BOTH PROPOSALS. AND SO I FOLLOWED UP WITH THE APPLICANTS OR THE WITH EACH CONSTRUCTION GROUP, EACH CONTRACTOR TO SAY TO, YOU KNOW, TO CHECK IN AND SAY, HEY, WE SAW THESE WEREN'T REFERENCED OR WAS REFERENCED IN A GENERIC WAY, IS THIS INCLUDED? AND SO IN TALKING WITH GONI, ALL OF THOSE ITEMS THAT WE HAD SOME CONCERNS ON HAD ALL BEEN INCLUDED AND IT DIDN'T CHANGE THE PRICE AT ALL. THE SAME WAS TRUE FOR THE OTHER CONTRACTOR.
